Introduction

The 2009 International Conference on Advanced Computer Science and
Information System (ICACSIS 2009) provides an international forum that
brings togetherness among those actively involved in the field of Computer
Science and Information System to report on up-to-the-minute innovations and developments, to summarize the state-of-the- art, and to exchange ideas and advances in all aspects of systems engineering, human machine interface, and emerging applications.

Humankind is faced with new inter-connected and pressing global crisis, risks and challenges which need new answers. Universities with their aggregate of expertise, experience, technology and research have the obligations of righteous acts and social duties to citizens and the world societies to produce a set of original, quality, and relevant recommendations, civil standards and ethics, as new answers. Critical thinking and research have to be scaled up to solve the critical issues in
global health and global aging, world hunger and poverty, energy, water supply and sanitation, housing, imbalances in education, transportation and telecommunication, economic wreckage and imbalances in monetary systems, job shortage, injustices, hazardous waste management, climate change, political conflicts, and racism.

Deadlines:
Submission of abstracts: October 17, 2009.
Submission of papers : November 14, 2009.
Sessions: 45 minutes of talking circle: 15 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of interaction
Papers are written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

ABOUT ICTEL 2009
International Conference on Telecommunications (ICTel) is an international conference organized annually by Telkom Institute of Technology, Bandung. It is a gathering forum between researcher, academician, telecommunication business people, policy maker, and telecommunication user coming from around the globe.

This 2009 conference is the sixth event, having its theme on “ICT Development for The Knowledge Based Society”. This theme will embody in two agendas: Call for Paper and One Day Tutorial held on several relevant topics of this year event.

We invite researchers, academics, telecommunication business people, policy makers, and telecommunication users to send their best papers to the ‘Call for Paper’ or to attend the ‘One-Day Tutorial’ organized in this ICTEL conference.

Seminar Nasional Sistem Informasi Indonesia (SESINDO) adalah seminar nasional tahunan di bidang sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi yang
diadakan oleh Jurusan Sistem Informasi, Fakultas Teknologi Informasi,
Insitut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya. SESINDO ditujukan agar dapat menjadi ajang pertemuan ilmiah, sarana diskusi dan publikasi hasil penelitian maupun penerapan teknologi terkini khususnya di bidang sistem informasi, teknologi informasi, teknik informatika, ilmu komputzer,
bisnis, dan bidang-bidang kaitannya.

Seminar Nasional Sistem Informasi Indonesia 2009 (SESINDO 2009) merupakan seminar kedua setelah sebelumnya SESINDO perdana sukses diselenggarakan pada tahun 2008. Kami mengundang para akademisi, praktisi, mahasiswa dan umum untuk menulis makalah dan berpartisipasi dalam seminar ini.
